Beskrivning
You have probably heard that you need a “fiber connection" if you want really fast internet at home. But what is an optical fiber, and how do they work?
In this interactive demonstration, you will align a laser beam using mirrors to send music through light. You will then see how the same thing can be done much easier using an optical fiber that guides light around corners. Finally, you will look at a “photonic chip” with tiny optical fibers developed at Chalmers.
