At The Crossroads is a serious board game allowing players to experience the everyday life of Ukrainians forced to flee following Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, becoming either internally displaced peoples or refugees abroad.

In this presentation, Gregg Bucken-Knapp (School of Public Administration, University of Gothenburg) will talk about the development of the game, how it portrays everyday Ukrainian experiences of forced mobility, the people involved in its making, and what serious games can achieve in terms of sharing knowledge and experiences.
