Salmon not only graces our plates with a delightful flavour but also offers health benefits. Farming Atlantic salmon addresses the rising demand for seafood. However, with a growing global population and escalating fish consumption, the challenge is to enhance fish feed production.

Shifting from fishmeal to land-based alternatives raises sustainability concerns as terrestrial ingredients compete with human consumption. The innovative use of marine-side streams from the aquaculture industry emerges as a novel and sustainable solution, promoting the circular feed concept.

Part of the lecture series Sjömat – framtidens mat: 5-rätters smakmeny (Seafood - the food of the future: 5-course tasting menu.)
